DPE 18" 2-piece forged aluminum wheels

SOLD

Price lowered to $2,400 plus free shipping within the USA.

I have a new set of DPE forged 2-piece R06 Variant S wheels in Brushed Aluminum with the Polished Lip for sale. The wheel sizes as follows:

Fronts: 18x8 with 42mm offset (20 lbs)
Rears: 18x10 with 50mm offset (22 lbs)

These are very light weight wheels made of forged T6-6061 aluminum. They are new and in the factory shrink wrapped packaging. (They were mounted with tires once, photos taken, then I opted to go with a different set).

http://www.dpe-wheels.com/showroom_w...g2_itemId=1254

With the brushed aluminum option they run $3340 through Vivid Racing, plus shipping, and there is at least an 8 week wait to get these wheels made.

They are also available for pickup if you live in the Michigan/Ohio/Windsor area.

Please feel free to call or email me.

I sold the OEM Sport Design wheels about a month ago. I decided on a set of 18" DPE R16 traditional mesh wheels, also with the brushed centers and polished lip.

I have changed the wheels a few times since I bought the car, starting with the OEM Sport Design, moving to 19" Champions, back to the 18" Sport Designs, then onto the two sets of DPEs. These wheels are quite incredible. The are so light and the quality is top notch. My brother has used DPE wheels for years on his BMW Ms, so I thought I would try them out on my 911. For the price, you can't beat them! And I won't go back to 19s.

Lately, that have been ignored as if there are zero moderators in this forum.

True, I probably bent the rules a bit. I'm a relatively new-avid reader, but don't do much posting. As a result, my posting count is too low to list on the classified section. I could have put a link to the threads on Rennlist, but I figured it would be best to post on this board.

If people are offended by it I would be glad to repost the thread with the links.

personally not offended.

it is a rule that instated awhile back. not sure but i thought some users were threatened to be banned if they posted for sale in the main section.

that's why i always post items for sale in the for sale section.

anyway, it is very easy to get the required posts........

g/l with the sale.

How's the quaility of DPE wheels? I'm thinking to get me some. I've always wanted HRE's but cost is just way out there. Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have had both 18s and 19s and I personally did not like the ride of the 19s. They also looked "too big" for my taste. The 19" Champions I had were nice, but seemed to overpower the car. The 18s are lighter and will take a little larger tire, 30-35s, and with the Michigan roads I need all the help I can get. They just seem to fit a little better...IMHO.

The quality is excellent. You can tell they are precision machined forged aluminum, with the machined brushed aluminum look, not cast. In comparrision to other wheels I've had, I would say they are equal to any other top of the line custom wheel manufacturer; HRE, Fikse, iForged, Forgeline, etc. I actually think the quality is slightly better than the Champions, BBS or SSR wheels that I have had on other cars, in that those wheels seemed a little "off the shelf", as if they were like every other aftermarket wheel that you can pick up at the local discount tire. The DPEs are custom wheels that you would see on any exotic show car.

They have a lot of pics on their website of the various styles on some very nice cars.

I hope this helps.
