Was coming back from Crystal Cove this past weekend (Saw a sweet yellow CG-T) and decided to swing by Newport Beach Porsche to see the new 997....here are 2 quick shots.


My random thoughts:

As a biased 996 owner (hey, I just got mine in March) - I personally don't mind the release of the 997. I'm sure it will grow on me, but I'm not really feeling the larger vents in the rear as well as the interior. Granted, no pictures do this car justice as it really is best in person. Didn't get the opportunity to drive one (both examples were "SOLD"). - but from what I've heard it's exceptional...

I figure by next year I'll either SC my 996 or wait another year and go Italian.

the car looks better in person. I like the lay out of the interior .especially w/ carbon fiber trims.

 

i saw one last night driving in LA downtown...
it looked really nice in person... ^____^

 

That first picture is nice. I agree the car is better in person. It seems all the dealers got a black "S" and a grey carrera. The black one was $99000. I just got my 996 in May and am not willing to bail.

 

I just got mine in June, I am new on the P but I don't see much difference. Haven't seen one in person though.
