Tire size.

What is the best size for 18" x 8.5" 40 offset and 18" x 10.5" 46 offset?

I don't think the 46 offset is the correct offset for the rear 996 NB car. The factory 10's are 65 offset and the factory 11's are 67 offset. Were the rims from a WB car? If so, the 295's might rub since they are almost an inch closer to the edge of the wheel well.

Ask either Wheel experts or Tire Rack. Both are board sponsors and have ads on the right column.

295 will fit 10.5... though at 46 offset, that is more like a wb offset. Will def rub!
