I did the search and didn't find much at all on Boston Acoustics. What do you all think about BA for replacement speakers in my 1999 996 coupe? Are they any good?

Shoot me a PM, I can hook you up on the BA. The new lines have great imaging and staging; liked them so much I gave my Focal's to a buddy for free and put them in the Porsche.

They're fine speakers but there are a lot of brand out there that are one notch above it.

Speaker tastes are very subjective. Very smooth, natural, reference quality sound with their high end separates. They don't make a lousy speaker. Everything sounds natural on them from Mozart to Snoop Dog. Not known for "big bottom/screaming highs" if that is what you are looking for.

Demo different speakers and get the one that sounds best to you. Virtually all the different speaker brands are now made in China anyway.

Find the ones that are made in Europe. That's the reason why I stay with Focal.
