I know most of these companies are national franchises. Looking for some names so I see if they're in my area and if they have any p car experience. My car is coming out of the paint shop next week and i think i'm going to get it done. seems like most people have had great luck with it.

Andrew,
wait at least 30 days for the paint to cure. the worst thing could happen for not waiting is in the future if u want to replace the film the clear coat would peeled off with the film.

as far as the design, i think the best on the market now is Armourfend (www.armourfend.com). we use it on all Porsches & it covers 99% of the bumper. but u have to find a good installer in ur area first because it's not easy to put it on.

Ultrashield in Ft. Myers had done 3 of my cars and several company vehicles too. I have also seen some work from a guy on the east coast that looks pretty good... Britt used him. You do have to be careful about the paint peeling off on all non factory paint, especialy if its not baked.

Yikes. Sounds like the same pigment removal process that MJackson used. Thanks for the warning as I may have to paint my car too to rid the damn chips.

what about xpel? any good?

the car got baked and it's been sitting since being painted for over two weeks. it will probably be at least another week before it's ready.

my painted said i apply it almost right away since it was baked. i'll give it a little more time to be on the safe side.

maybe i'll drive down and see your guy max. how much did he charge?

Andrew,

The GT was ~$500 for the front bumper cap, lower hood, above the headlights, and the mirrors. The difficult part with them is that they are not open on weekends.

Arling, how do you find out who the local retails are for your company? There weren't any links on the site.

I am in the same boat as you. I have to wait a long 30 days before I can take my car to Lucent to get the clear bra put on. I was there when they put clearbra on Eric's car and the process is defintely time consuming, but the quality look absolutely amazing after.
