CMiYC is infamous around these parts
If you want to do it your self, do some searches on these forums and Renntech. Quite a few people have posted what they used. The other key will be what 996 do you have.

Yeah, search is gonna be your friend on this one. But having looked at this recently myself.

Budget is really the limiting factor. It will determine the type of speakers you want to go for (component vs 2way etc.)

4" mids and 1" tweeters can be hot glued into the dash grills. This requires some dremel work. ( I have done this myself)

5.25" drivers in doors go in easy. 6" drivers go in with some more grinding.

I have not seen too much on the rear seat panel speakers but assume same as dash.

Subs seem to go in one of 3 spaces. Stock passenger footwell; rear seat area either in the footwells retaining seating or replacing the lowe seat and loosing rear seats; or lastly up in rear deck

Don't forget good AMPS!

Hope this helps....

I have a 2002 C2, if you do a check, most people are putting Focal K2's 100's (4" and tweeter) in the dash and Focal 13 KS (5" sub) in the doors, and I'm using Focal 100CA1 (4" coaxial)for the rear speakers, and they went to 6 channel amps (JL audio)

Hopes this helps, this is what I'm using in mine, havn't put rear subs in yet.

I had a full system in my 99 C2.

I'd look at a 3 way component system (6" mid bass, 4" mid, tweeter) for the front stage if you have the door pods. You can fit a 6" driver in the door pods without any cutting. However, you will need to make a custom baffle. A 4" coaxial works for rear fill if you got to have it. Subs are up to you... you can fit a couple 8" or 10" subs behind the rear seats, in the rear seat wells, behind the front seats, or in the passenger side foot well. Stick the amp in the front trunk.
