Fender bender

Slid on black ice and rear-ended an Impala with my 03 c2 cab. Nobody hurt. My nose went right under his rear bumper. Was going slow enough that the air bags did not deploy - but the roll bar did. Ironically, there was already another accident on scene - I was in first gear and going less than 15mph - the brakes had NO grip - when I got out of the car I almost fell on my butt - it was that slippery.

The bumper, hood and right fender were crunched. Left fender appears fine. I was able to bend the hood back, tie it down and drive it home with no problems.

Since the car only has 19k miles, I'd like to fix it right. I like the stock look and want to keep it that way.

Any advice on what to look out for?

Thanks.

Luke

make sure the doors close and the gap is uniform check the floorboards and make sure that they are not buckled.. Check the strut towers and make sure they are not damaged or bent.. The cabs have alot of flex in them so you just want to make sure nothing is tweeked..

Snow tires? If not, you should really consider them. Now you know why.

Well good luck with it. ! was sitting in the right hand lane at a light one night this past Summer waiting to turn right onto a one-way street. An SUV pulled into the adjacent lane to my left and without looking to the right, the driver proceeded to turn into my front left fender. (I have an MY02 C4 Cab.) She pinched the fender against the hood, scratched headlight assembly and cracked the bumper cover. Looked minor. (totally drivable, even the lights still worked) Well seven weeks and $13 grand later ... the cost of tearing it down and verifying it was straight etc. Sterling Collision, Tustin, CA. Very pleased with their work. Thankfully she was insured and cited.
