what is the best/cheapest way to get ahold of the 996 (2003) shop manual? Thanks in advance.

I think most everything needed these days is online. I have a set of 11 binders for my 996 and rarely open them. I think a quick post and you will be flooded with information.

worked ok for me. did you download it first?

Strange. I got all the others. The other engine one also had a problem, but I finally got it.

it is a big file 93Mb.

I downloaded using the right-click "Save target as.." method on the link. took about 6 min to DL.

the problem with the canell downloads (though still VERY useful) is that they are dated 1999 or older!! Nothing for any newer 996, especially where the 02+ are most diffferent, engine and electrical wiring. Anything newer out there?
