Anyone living in the MD-DC-VA area

Hey... I'm new to the site and wondered if there was anyone who lived in my area on this website.

I recently purchased a 99 conv C2 and am sure that I'll need some insight, advice and help seeing that it's my first one. I've been a Benz man for about 10 years.

Hey stdfast,

I'm in Potomac too. Topspn things have been nuts (travel + a new job) so I hope to see you and the others at Starbucks soon! Lemme know if there is a gathering happening. I need to run out for a smog check and may do it tomorrow am early, and that means that I'll have to stop by Starbucks for a grande latte!

Jason,

Sounds good. I wouldn't worry, if you were, about giving up much comfort from the E55. The 996 is so much more comfortable than I expected that I'm basically using it as a daily driver, except for poor weather.

Where do you get your service, my friend has the new Audi S4 and he has had good experiences at Rockville Porsche/Audi.
HBL is not that far but they seem like some contemporary mafia down there

Jason,

I go to Intersport on Tyco rd in Tyson's Corner for my Porsches and Landcruiser. Ask for Charlie or Omar. Been going to them for 12 years, since they were located on Mill st in Vienna. They installed my EvoMotorsport Supercharger last year and did a great job. Bought our last Merc at HBL, but will probably get service done elsewhere. Used to go to EuroMotorCars in Bethesda for service on last Merc and thought they weren't too bad.

Regards

Hey guys,

Sorry I miss you this week. I got caught up (1 thing led to another and before I knew it, I was totally pissed off because the cowboys gave the game to the steelers. Anyway I glad you mentioned a place for service. I've got 17k on mine and I'm approach 6mos since the last oil change. BTW... Any suggesting on tires, mine are starting to dry rot and I was thinking about getting the pole position 3s becasue I had such a great experience with the pole position 2s on my clk.

Thumbs up

I'm running Yoko AVS Sport (Y rating) and love them. Inexpensive when compared to most brands, but overall a great performance tire.

I'd recommend you check out Dorkiphus for DC metro area local Porschephiles: www.dorkiphus.com

I'm going to be at the Dorkiphus Fun Run #7 starting at The Plains, VA: http://www.dorkiphus.com/porsche/viewtopic.php?t=2097

I'll probably bring along my 4 year old son too. Hope to see you there!
