I got caught in the rain today and decided to try the washers for the heck of it. They came out about 6", no wonder why the caps blow off!

 

I tried mine as well and one of the covers sailed off. Called the dealer and they said I had to buy the whole washer unit. $$$$$

 

Oh great, I'm picking up the cap this week. Here's what I'm getting, I can't just use it alone?

The web site leads me to believe you can replace the cap. I will find out and post up results.

 

I have heard some many of these stories I am scared to use mine. Does lack of use cause these problems?

 

One time I tried to lift it up to see what it looked like and it seemed to start to come unclipped so I pressed it back down. At 70 mph when I hit the lever it sailed over the car. I gave myself the dumbass award for that. Is there anyway to extend them for service?

 

I dont want to sound dumb but how do you even use the headlight washers i know i have them but never have used them due to the fact i dont know how to haha i had the same prooblem with the rear wing switch.......haha be gentle everyone haha

 

Don't they come on when lights are on and you hit the windshield washers?

What are the caps for? I've got the old style without caps, so what do the caps do?
