V (great moniker!!)

Congrats on the new ride.

I would echo the recommendation that you drive it for a while. Mods will come to mind as you live with the cab.

I found a short shifter kit primo mod - especially if you are thinking of DEing the car.
Another mod you should look into is GT3 console delete, at suncoast motorsports. this mod removes the console in front of the shifter and below the dash providing room to move your right leg to the center without rubbing on anything. makes the ****pit cleaner.

another thing, if you keep reading, mods will never end.

CONGRATS and enjoy the ride.

Nevermind guys, just did a search and read all about the intermediate shaft ! Ive got 5k miles left for the 45k mile service, will probably do the ims update at the same time as the 45k service, any recommendations as to what else is a must at that service interval?
thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums. Here's a good site to educate yourself on the M96 engine. I have no affiliation, but have read enough on this forum, and others, that it is prudent to upgrade the IMS when the first signs of wear are evident.

For body mods, I recommend NR Auto.

you definitely need a upgrade system, i sure you know this because you listen to the sound, everyday. Unless you have the model with the bose upgrade? I had a 2002, and the system had to get taken out on the 3rd day i couldn't take the sound quality, it wasnt up to par, i must say in the new ones(997 models) they upgraded , I'm very happy with the new sound.
P.S i like the comment "its nice to see younger guys/ and gals owning these cars..."(asialors996) you get cool point for that one, 29 over here
