Hello fellow 6'ers,

my thrid brake light has one of the bulbs that is out.. It is bugging me.. Can I replace that bulb if I take it apart and run to radioshack? Or do I need to replace the whole lense?

If I have to replace it, where can I buy one? It is the one in the wing that pops up.. I have a 996 c2.. Thanks in advance!

 

u can replace the singal bulb...theres 5-or 6 bulbs in there...ull see when u take it apart...just use a small screwdriver and pop off the little peice in the corner ....then turn the scre half way and it pops out

i replaced mine with the smoked LED version. ~$150.

Hey zdr2k,

I'm planning on replacing my 996's third brake light with LED's. Where did you purchase yours? I've been looking around ebay, but no luck.

 

got mine from carnewal.com a few years ago. still working like a champ. BTW, I also replaced the spoiler one. On that one, the power leads to the light need to be reversed.

Thanks for the links! I'm definitely loving the clear LED's! Since I'm planning on changing out my OG tail lights as well, everything will match perfectly!
