I am considering this mod as my cats have gone bad. I have a C4S with PSE. How will it sound? Will the button still mute it a little? Anyone without cats but WITH mufflers please let me know what you think.

No Cats w/ mufflers is my current setup. It is progressively louder once the revs climb above 4K on my car like you would expect. I tried no cats with muffler bypass pipes and it was incredibly loud. Not sure how your PSE will compare in sound to my no cats with Fabspeed mufflers but I find it a very nice combo. No real extra noise at idle or cruise but noticeably louder under WOT.

 

I found it too loud for my tastes, looking to go 200 cell cats instead.

I have cat bypass and deleted cats with stock mufflers. It sounds great, very raspy and noticeably louder under load. I think I may be shedding the mufflers too and going cat / muffler bypass in the near future.

 

I am confused, (but I usually am) the cat bypass pipes WILL throw a CEL? If yes, has anyone tried those O2 extensions and do they work?

to simplify

a) cat bypass throw a CEL
b) anyone try an O2 extension thingie
c) if so, do you still get a CEL
