I wonder why people always believe the optimistic dyno but ignore the others?

Isn't it obvious? We like to think our cars are making more HP! It is human nature to selectively accept those pieces of information that help support our already held (or desired) opinions. My IPD is GREAT!

Kinda like the guy who is comforted by his girlfriend saying "size doesn't matter"? Nothing changes, but he feels better.

Other than SC these cars are pretty much maxed out. Some of the ridiculous prices one pays for little to no real gain does encourage the already biased opinion.
The only exception were my cheap clear side markers that got me 5 hp

To be fair the dyno test referenced was on a 3.8l 997S, not a 996; in my case 5-10 years more advanced R&D than my first gen 3.4l Egas 1999 crate. I experienced appreciable gains in driving pleasure after my RSS/IPD Plennum install a few years ago and would never be tempted to revert to stock design. 100% satisfied with investment.
