Redye leather seats
Redye leather seats
The front leather seats are starting to dry up and fade and i was thinking if I can can use Kiwi dye, the same dye used for shoes, to bring back the color. If not, what do you recommed.thxs.
I wouldn't use the shoe stuff. Get something specific for car seats, like in this tread:

I used the KIWI dye in black on the seat bolsters and it does work well. however it wears off pretty soon. I think leatherque or something like that is supposed to be better. Pics are before and after

I used a product called leather magic on my steering wheel and parking brake handle and it came out pretty good.

You can buy color-matched automotive leather dye from either www.leatherique.com or www.colorplus.com.
I re-dyed almost the entire light grey interior on a BMW we had and it turned out great. The color had to be custom-mixed, but in your case, since you have black, the dye is readily available. If you just want to fill in the cracks, you can dab a cotton cloth into the dye and just wipe it into the cracks and wipe off the excess.

I couldn't be more satisfied. Even now, two months later, my seats look fantastic and there has been no dye-back or product coming off onto clothing. I highly recommend this product.

Here is the only way to approach this
The results are flawless, LIKE BRAND NEW AGAIN.
World Upholstery sells the exact Porsche colored leather/vinyl dye in aerosol cans for $18.00 each. I've used it on my '79 SC with Cork interior and in my '99 with Graphite Gray full leather. I had wear spots on the seats, the steering wheel color was completely gone on the the top of the wheel and the seat backs were scuffed up from shoes.
Buy the tech cleaner, spray it on, rub it off. Cover what you don't want dyed with newspaper and tape and I guarantee you will be shocked how perfect the color match is.

I sprayed on 4 to 5 coats. it dries in between coats in 10 minutes. Then let it set in overnight before using the car. The next day I treated the entire interior with Maguires Leather Conditioner.
Months later still looks like the day I did it. I re-applied the leather conditioner once since then. Killer results man!!!!!
Get 1 can of the cleaner and a couple of the dye, store what you don't use in the house so it doesn't get messed up from hot or cold in the garage. My beautiful little daughters do a number on the seat backs, I've sprayed some spots that won't clean off a few times now, it blends in perfectly.
