...it's on it's way to Evolution Motorsports in AZ for installation of Supercharger, Level 2 clutch and PSS-9 coil-over suspension.
Should have it back in a few weeks and will post a report. Ben should have his back sooner than that.

preliminary hp and lb dynos are showing 430 hp/340 lb (358/289 at the wheels with a 17.32% and 15.50% power train loss from the crank to wheels using stock % losses at the wheels from the crank). there is absolutely always a ton more hp at every rpm level than the gt3. power is very linear though it doesn't get nutso til about 4600 where it begins the rocket ride up all the way to 7k! there is more power (about 10%) though from 2500 on to 4600 where the rocket ride starts. the lightweight single mass (freer reving) flywheel ought to further improve the experience as well :-)

right now, i'm planning to keep both. the 996 would be better suited to rock chipping mountain group drives than would be the cgt :-)

i already replaced my windshield once (it had so many chips it looked - way - dirty all the time). my hood and front bumper look similar. my black car looks like it has thick white dust all over the hood and front bumper (car only has 12k miles!). i might just repaint the front bumper and put on a carbon fiber hood if i have to repaint anyway. repaints on the cgt wouldn't go over too well :-) also, i'm fairly certain windshield replacement won't be a couple day wait and $500 bil either :-) also, i change my tires about every 3 to 4k miles (no track driving - hehe). those special michelins for the cgt are not going to be easy to find.

"Considering how much 996s have depreciated, I'd say that's a pretty good investment if you're going to keep the car."
yeah, i've pretty much written the car completely off in my head. now, if i could just get to that point in my head with the cgt :-)
"Keep it Darren and send it to Imagine Auto with me"
is it the same set up as evo?
