Question Mystery Spots???

I have had my '03 C2 since April. Has anyone experienced
having a small "oilly" residue (around 1/2 inch in diameter) form on the inside of the windows (driver and passenger sides) about 2 inches down from apex from the top of the windows? What causes this? Is there a solution?

Almost every 996 does it. It's annoying as hell, and there's no real fix.
I heard some dealers try a fix, but it leaves it in worse shape sometimes with either a squeaky window or rattly door.

Hey Scott,

Thank you for the insight. I thought that this may have some
fix that would possibly cause more harm than good! Enjoy
the road ahead!
