ruf rgt widebody

What do you guys think of this wide body kit. Thinking of putting on the bolt on fender flares and front bumper on my 996.

I would suggest you buy the Ruf body kit, and then have some custom make you a metal widebody. That way you don't have to worry about cracking those fiberglass fenders, and also you dont have to cut your stock fender underneath to fit bigger wheels.

Those fender flares look like they took them off of a nissan frontier pick up truck. Sorry but not my cup of Tea. Now why doesnt any one do steel flares like on the old 911s?
Just graft in a turbo quarters and fenders on a 996 wouldn't be to hard an probably not touch RUF pricing.

First of all, if I'm not mistaken the Ruf bodyparts are not fiberglass, it's made of some type of lightweight composite.

Second, Ruf quality is a lot better than the metal widebodies that I've seen.

Third, the bolt on effect of the flares is there for a reason. If you guys don't get it... then obviously you need to learn a bit more about Porsche history.

I do agree the front looks kinda blunt. Too blunt.

The bolts are bit too 70-ish for modern day car styling. I'd rather see the front spoiler having a more retro look to match the retro bolts.
