will wide body wheels fit a narrow body car?
will 19x11 rear fit NB 996?...whats the differnce if theyre made for a widebody, is the offset different or is it just wider?

I have the 19x11 rears with the wide body offset. They don't rub, but they do stick out just a little, which I'm fine with. Most likely next summer I'll roll the fenders which will solve that problem.
They also seemed to stick out less after I lowered the car

Rolling the fenders won't change the way the wheels stick out, it only pushes the metal lip up some on the inside. I know because I rolled mine. To know whether the widebody wheels will fit you need to know the offset of the wheels, and the size of the tires you will be using. I have a set of widebody wheels, only 10" wide, I forget the exact offset, and when I put them on with 265/40-18 PS2 (as opposed to the standard 265/35-18 tires) they rubbed. Rolled the fenders, and they still rubbed. With 275/30-18 probably would have worked.
Look at 1010tires.com for an offset calculator that will show you how much difference in wheel sizes makes. However, this still does not account for tires sizes. The safest bet is to go with wheels designed for the NB.

I`ve narrow body (-00) C2 with rolled fenders and have run next wheels & tires:
11x18 (nb et, don`t remember exactly) with 295 Pirelli Corsa Motorsport
11x18 (nb et56) Michelin PS Cup 295 & Toyo R888 295
10.5x18 (widebody et 42? for 996 turbo) with 295 Conti Sportcontact2
No rubbing on any of these combinations even with lowered suspension. Can`t remember how much but a bit lower than euro gt3. I think you need to have rolled fenders to run widebody rear wheels
