Can a '04 Carrera with the Bose system get the Porsche CD changer installed if it didn't come with one from the factory? Are the cars prewired for the CD changer? Is this a big deal/expense?

 

i have a 03 car, but i don't think there is any difference between 03 & 04.

i was gonna install the changer but after knowing that would cost me around $1,600 at dealer i nearly fainted

the parts are around 8-900 but the labor is another half, mainly because it's fiber optic stuff (this is according dealer's BS stuff, as always... )

anyway, for the money i don't think it's worth at all, so now when i have to use the nav i can't listen to CD (technically i can still do both but i have to load the nav CD first).

sounds awsome! but guess my dealer still wants at least 800 for labor. they have planty in stock though...

Gert has it on his website too & the price is a little better.
