Do a search on this Forum and you'll find PLENTY of discussion and opinions on the subject.

Talked to a dealer yesterday about this supposed short shifter memo that hints about voiding transmission warranty work. He confirmed that this memo did exist but said he could care less what SSK you had in the car - he will still warranty any transmission work unless it was an EXTREMELY blatant fault of the SSK. Mentioned that other dealers would be strict about this "memo" if something ever came up.

I will not say which dealership this is for obvious reasons

I was told it's not the kit itself. It's the install of the kit. If the kit isn't adjusted right then you will have problems with tranny not shifting correctly. Most of the time kit install is a no brainer but if you change the thread alignment then the cables need aligned. Just ask me how i know. After blaming kit for missed shifts i took it to dealer to have oem put back in where they showed me what i did wrong and aligned the B&M kit correctly.

I wouldn't go with the undercar kit. The stock Porsche part is plastic and is complete crap. The B&M not only shortens the throws, it gives shifting a very solid feeling (think of the Ferrari metal gate)...something that makes the whole car feel a notch better.

Why must we have this thread every month?

Hey, I heard that if you have aftermarket wheels on and a driventrain or bearing problem comes up PCNA will not cover it too.

Don't forget the aftermarket sound system, which might short circuit the entire car.

Absolutely no aftermarket steering wheels, warranty on your steering rack is void.

I'm paranoid.

Don't forget the impact aluminum pedals have on the transmission, brakes, and engine!! Three major systems affected by that mod. alone

I also heard that a non-Porsche key fob would void both the electrical system and engine warranties.
