Almost spring -took my baby out twice this weekend

Since it hasn't snowed a foot of snow in NJ this week. I finally unhooked my car from life support (battery tender) and took a 30 min ride on saturday and another 30 mins with my 2 kids on Sunday. They loved it and wanted to drive somewhere far. I missed the feeling of this car but also somewhat realized the technology gap widening in a 2004 car vs 2010.
Kept feeling for paddles to upshift
Shes only got 8900 miles on her-Yes I know so sad but with 3 kids and an awesome DD- I just dont have the time to play.
Wondering if anyone out there is torn between giving it up or keeping it forever.

Mike

I think my MY02 has more miles in reverse then you do going forward!

I go out for 30 - 60 minute rides very often as long as the roads are dry.

I hear you man. The snow we got here in Jersey was insane this year. I took my car out for a little bit on Sunday, felt good to be in it again. As soon as it stays nice out i'm going to to put my rims back on and get her a nice detail. Hopefully the state will fix all the million potholes by then!

not really sure if the manually changing gear thing is a technology thing or a getting old thing i would guess this car will make you feel younger rather then older

Manual vs Paddle

Granted, paddle is easier and the new technology, but I like shifting, the feel of controlling the car's motor. I'm 64, but until I have no choice, they will have to pry my dead hands off that shift lever.
