I was curious does anyone know what the 0 to 60mph time is for Mk1 996 with Tiptronic tranny? Also performance numbers for the quarter mile as I know these are not drag cars but I have a feeling there so refined they feel slower than they really are.

 

I remember that it shows in the manual. It was around 6secs... I might be wrong.

 

Idk about tiptronic (you can safely assume that its .1 or .2 seconds slower) but the 0-60 for a manual car I've seen reported to be anywhere 4.7-5.2. I'm guess 5.0 is about right.

About 5.0 -5.2 for a tip I'd say. I was keeping pace with evo's from a 5 mph roll to 60 with a bunch of work done to them, and they are definitely running high 12's to low 13's in the 1/4.

 

Gt3, how do you achieve that time? Using manual mode in the tip or sliding to automatic mode and letting the computer shift for you? What's the perfect rpm shift spot (the most power at that rpm per gear) in the tip?
Does make sense if I beat a brand new 2010 Camaro SS automatic I think from 0 to 55mph, well its true!

 

Well I clocked at 4.87 for 0-60 on a manual. my was was a 6speed not a tip, sorry.
