My coilovers feel odd

I just finished installing my H&R street coilovers and my front end feels almost bouncy. They are not adjusted all the way down and the springs are firm inside the strut housing before weight is applied to the suspension. Also the passenger front coilover feels like it's bottomed out when driving. It clunks and doesn't feel right. I check all the bolts and nuts and everything is secure.

I am aware that I do need a realignment now but my front end feels a little "loose" or "floats" now and the steering wheel is tilted to the left a little just to go straight.

Thanks for your input and help!

PacMan.. can't help you on the coilovers.. but wanted to know if you like the 997 shifter? I put a short shifter in and do not like it. I've read the 997 is a nice middle-of-the-road shifter.

Question

You are setting/adjusting them with both front wheels off the ground unloading the sways....right? Not one side at a time.

Any idea of spring rates?

If you are trying to adjust height settings with just one side of the car jacked up a a time, the sway bar keeps the suspension loaded.

You need both fronts up in the air to adjust together.

I bet your springs are too loose in the perches. Car will feel bouncy because it is only operating on the shock dampners.

(Ask me how I know......)

I would call H&R and see what kind of warranty options they have for ya. I think either KW or Bilstein offers a lifetime warranty and you just need an authorized dealer to swap em out for you for free.
