O2 sensor removal

O2 sensor removal
I am in the process of clearing up a CEL notification on my 2000 C2 cab. which turned out to be the upstream O2 sensor (Bosch 13564) on the passenger side bank (Bank 2, sensor1). I am having a heck of a time determining where it terminates in the engine bay. As access is a nightmare, am I best off removing the air box/plenum unit to get better access to the plug end of the sensor? How do you get the blasted MAF plug off the air tube - it doesn't seem to want to come off, and I don't want to break it by forcing the issue? Can anyone tell me EXACTLY where the plug end is located for the upstream sensor? Are the sensor plug ends the square shaped units side by side to the right of the airbox, with a square red top side? Once the sensor is installed, does the CEL need to be cleared, or will it clear automatically by itself? I really do need a shop manual, and am in the process of trying to locate one. Once again, thanks to all of you for your invaluable assistance.

I found the easiest way is to remove the torq screws and pull out the MAF sensor leaving it connected then remove the air cleaner box then it is easy removing the connectors for the O2's by pulling out the clip on the connector and pulling apart the connector. Yes it is the square connectors and no you will not have to reset any check eng lights unless already lit and my reset by itself with new O2's in place when driven for awhile test to see unless someone wants to chime in.

Mother, I will remove the MAF screws as you suggest to remove it from the air tube. When you refer to "pulling out the clip" on the connector, where will I find this clip, and what does it look like? Thanks so much for your help.

When you remove the air box and see the O2 connector as I recall it looks gray in color and is part of the connector and simply lifts up to allow the separation of the connector harness from the sensor it will be easier when you are looking at it.
