I was actually thinking about a turbo(You can get really great deals on them now), but it would keep me from getting a 987S next summer as a weekend car(wife already agreed). I wish I had unlimited funds like some of you, but alas I have to live in the real world, sorta.

Is there anything wrong with owning 4 porsche's, or am I crazy....

Cheers from Snowy NJ

Corey

I am on the fence right now about selling my 2000 BMW 528i and getting a V8 Cayenne. I also live in NJ and the commute on the Turnpike with my manual tranny in the bimmer is starting to get on my nerves with all of the "fabulous" NJ drivers! What do you think...should I go for it??? I got one from the dealer while my C2 Cab was in for service and it was pretty awesome.

I'm pretty much settled on the 'S' now, pretty loaded but not too over the top. I want to get a 987 next year to join my 996(which I will also do some more mods on this year) and don't want to blow the car budget with a cayenne turbo. Since it's for the wife, I looked at the Volvo V8 and the Range Rover, and she actually liked the cayenne the best(YEA!!!) as it's the one I wanted her to get since I'll drive it on weekends.

Now I just need to find about 4 hours to go down to the dealer and place my order.

Cheers,
Corey

My question is for Coreynj as I also live in NJ. What dealer do you use and how much of a discount can I expect for repeat business? I am thinking about a 2005 GT3.

princetonymc,
Discounts are subjective to alot of things. I use Schneider and Nelson in West Long Branch, but I have bought all my recent(past 5 years worth) of cars from them(including non-porsches). I also have sent many people I know there. I'm getting a good discount, but I'd rather not say how much. I am extremely happy with S&N and would recommend you talk to them before you purchase anywhere else.

Ben,
Your experience is the main reason I've decided not to even concider the cayenne turbo and only the V6 and the "S". I'm not pretty sure I'm getting an S for my wife.

Cheers,
Corey
