Just got my 996, need help on cosmetic
Just bought a 996 c4 2001. 75km like brand new. I am very happy.
I would like to get some ideas about which cosmetic mod's would make the car looks more modern.
Spoilers, etc...
I have the Carrera S 18" wheels. Add spacers (7mm front, 14mm rear) that make a nice fit.

#1 lower the car, #2 rear spoiler (not a GT spoiler, since you do not have a GT) #3 Aero side skirts #4 Ruf or Techart front and rear bumpers. That should cost you, ahhh, bout $10K. Want more? Leave it stock.......Priceless!
get a 997 GT3 bumper or similar like a GTR bumper if u want to more modern..IMO..I know some will say a 996 should stay a 996 & a 997 should stay a 997..that's just a bunch of BS, but thats just me...here's mine with a 997 GT3 bumper & mirrors....that look modern to me..

I like very much the style you gave to your car.
But there's a coast to this. Up to a certain point wouldn't be better to look for a newer car instead of putting money on the existing one ? What about reselling ? If you keep it for several years maybe. What is your opinion ?

if I have the extra $$$..yes I would opt for a newer model like the 997, but for now I like what I have..I guess this is my cheap version of a new model
..I kept all my stock parts so if I decide to sell it, I just reinstall it back to the way it was..no biggy.
Den,
Try simple mods first like side markers, a light exhaust, ground effects and rims. If you go with rims be careful as I have learned certain wheels will make the car look cheaper and bring the value down on the 996. I suggest OEM if possible look at my profile for details.

I,ve seen a guy who installed some nice foglights exactly shaped like the front left and right extremities of the lower opening of the car like an ''eye''
Anybody would have an idea what I am talking about ?
That gives a modern touch
