Short Throw Shifters

Hey guys,

So I am possibly looking for one as my stock one is feeling sloppy (i think it needs a possible rebuild)

Sooo here is what I came up with... has anyone ever tried any of these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-03...Q5fAccessories

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-03...Q5fAccessories

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...Q5fAccessories

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fidan...Q5fAccessories

I know about B&M shifter but trying to see if anyone has had any success with these other ones?

I wouldn't chance my money on the ebay one. I realy looked hard and decided to do complete B&M ss (not kit to use the factory shifter) or a OEM 997 ss.
NOW IF I CAN JUST GET MY MOTOR FIXED, THEN I CAN GET BACK ON TRACK WITH THE MODS....lol

get the full kit, this way you can remove it when you sell the car. if not the kit alone require for you to akter the oem and you can't go back to stock in case you want to.

I have the B&M best mod ever. but I'd say you need to be good at stick shift, not good for beginner or people who are learning the manual shifting as you need to put lot more force and be confident when you use it. I love it, feels hard at first then it feels like the way it should just be

easy install if you have the full kit.

those first two are way too cheap, wouldn't trust the china junk, if i was gonna get one i would get one from one of the sponsors of the forum, that way if you had a gripe, well i'm sure you wouldn't have to gripe too much before it was taken care of, alot of times you can check the classifieds & get one from a fellow forum guy.

As basic as these shifters are, believe it or not, there are still some things that you need to be aware of and look out for when making a purchase. We have spent a little more time in the R&D room because of different manufactureres issues and feel that we now have the best long term solution for drivers looking for a short throw shifter. Feel free to PM with any specific questions.

I have the B&M and it is awesome. Real tight, stiff shifting. Takes time to get used to if you have never used a short throw before. I used to build Honda's when I was 16 so I had dealt with B&M before and it was still slightly different. Watch out for third, it's the toughest to find when first starting out with it.
