LED Tail lights

I really like the looks of the new 997 LED's. Does anyone have any recommendations on some aftermarket lights for a 996? I found these, and they look pretty decent....

Any reason to avoid certain ones?

don't have fitment problems with mine. just a pair of resistors to get the cruise control back to working.

Wheelman is on a distinguished road
I had issues with my ABS and PSM with these. Never tried the resistors because the lights were expensive at the time (around $600) and I felt it should have worked right out of the box for that price. If you look at Amazon.com, they have them for under $300. Fitment was good but not perfect. It did make the car look nicer and up to date.

Do a search and someone swapped out the fuse from some LED company and it worked fine.

Wow! that is a great price. I have watching these on eBay for a while and nothing came close to that price. Very tempting.

DANG! that is a great price. Just a reminder, these are not 100% Plug and play - may need resistors, LED flashers etc.

I have them on my 99 C2 ~ 1 year now. They do tend to update the look.

As a side note - for black, blue and silver cars use the smoked, they look better. Reds, yellows, whites stick with the clear.

for that price - i'd jump in. (i paid ~500)

What resistors and flashers did you install? And, where did you get them?

I know that used to be the case, but these claim that they are. I bought some for my Yukon and they just plugged right in. LED technology has come a long way even in the last few years.

You think smoked for a silver car?

Is there a DIY for the resisters? What kind of errors occur?

You really know how to make me poor. Normally I would gloss over stuff like this but I do agree at that price it is VERY tempting.

Anyone care to comment on the LED intensity vs OEM LED taillights? I've seen some really badly lit LED taillights before(non Porsche) that almost scream accident.
