I had a similar experience, turned out to be a false alarm, RMS is 'ok' according to the dealer.

Thumbs up

My RMS leak was also misdiagnosed- it was a crankcase seal and was replaced. Crank and case were well within specs and I installed a new clutch at the time.

They replaced my RMS. I had to leave it at the dealer overnight.

Luckily they gave me a Boxter S as a loaner.
