Would putting x51 headers on a Non turbo car be an upgrade worth doing

Don't think the will fit for two reasons. One the heads are different so they won't align. Two the headers are made to feed into the Turbos, not directly to the cats.

Headers in the X51 package are from the Porsche Sport Exhaust. Compared to your stock headers they are an upgrade.
But do NOT get any parts that were made for a turbo if you have a carrera. Turbo has a different engine and a different exhaust.

I have a X51 motor without sport exhaust. Are my headers different than the headers on a stock motor?

X51 headers are definitely different than stock.
thicker diameter tubing... especially the collector pipe... the stock one looks just plain cheap next to the x51s

Hard to see in the attached pic... x51 on the bottom

adding 200 cell cats

Im putting on 200 cell catalytic converters and have a fabspeed exhaust it looked like x51 headers might be a apropriate upgrade.

Are you going with the fabspeed x-pipe sport cat?

Yes I am going with the fabspeed x pipe sport cats I think it is a newer style that is just one piece. My car is an 02 with 35000 miles and the stock cats have failed I'm about 7 months past the 8 year warranty. Dealer said bring it in and they will try. I think it's unlikely to happen, hence the sport cat conversion. If it gets covered I win either way.

If you go with the x pipe, let us know how you like it. Good luck
