Question Silver Air Bag Crest

Could someone suggest a source for a quality silver air bag crest that fits into the recess in the air bag cover. I would like to change from the existing gold. I checked Ebay but no dice, either gold color or wrong size. Tnx

You need to replace the entire airbag. Board sponsor Carnewal is your best bet.

So is that a plastic insignia like the OE?......correct size? (ie does it fit the indentation?)

I would not stick a crest on the airbag....dangerous if it deploys!! can cause serious damage to one's face

Yes, looks just like the silver hood crest. Msindi is right, if the airbag deploys you don't really know where the thing will go... I looked at the seams of the steering wheel and I used epoxy to secure it. The seams of it will force the badge up and back, but you'll never know until it opens.

I saw a picture of that one on Porsche Babe's car and asked her about it. I prefer the looks of the silver crest with the red in it over the plain siver one.

Well the OE gold is plastic (and I am assuming you must have just pried that one off?)........so, when the exploding pillow deploys I'm not sure what dif it makes whether you are hit with a 'gold' plastic insignia or a 'silver' one.

ralph boothe supplied mine but as noted by mr sindi i have had reservations. the instructions I had were to glue it on to the EXISTING badge. since i have aluminum everywhere, the gold doesn't look so bad. if you didn't have a lot of carbon i would recommend getting the dash strips and instrument surround in alum. anyway good luck.

Wait a minute.........Booths are apparently metal (and yes he has Silver)........OE C4 & Turbo have gold.

Also.........on OE C4 & Turbo the wheel center has an indentation that is filled with the OE Gold/red insignia (indentation is 40mm top to bottom)........if fitting into that space is important, may want to keep that in mind.

He is a sponsor........link on right........he does have good stuff........however, I also will not fasten metal over OE on an air bag.

I believe his insignias are perfect for an earlier vintage Pcar application.
Individually, you will have to decide if they are right for you.
