Booster car seat question
Booster car seat question
Yes, I know the question comes-up often but I cannot find a definitive answer.
I've found a dealer that has the Porsche Plus booster seat in stock from Britax, but I prefer not to spend $300.00 on it.

Are there any other booster seats (high back or just the seat) that will fit in the rear?
I saw the Graco Turbo booster base at Baby's R Us and the seat was only $30.00, but I have no clue if it fits.
Any help?

Booster seat
I used the graco booster in my 2004 c4s. Not sure if the c4s has a slightly wider rear seat than non-widebody. Had to make very very slight adjustment and plane off about 1" from each side in the base and it fit perfect and snug.
Unlike with a regular car seat, the booster is only to put the kid in the proper postion for the cars seat belt, so the adjustment doesnt affect safety.
Definitely glad i went the $30 route

Harmony literider
FYI,
When I use my harmony literider booster, I do not remove the seat cushions in the back of my 996. I just put the booster directly on the existing seat. I guess it depends on how your kids fit in the resulting seat.
Also, the armrests of the booster do interfere a bit with access to the seatbelt buckle mechanism. I have seen a modification to the arms of the booster that make buclke access easier. I'm thinking of trying it.
See post #170 in this thread.

Highly recommend using the hairdryer to soften the seat and pull the armrests closer together. Updated thread with more pictures.
+1 for the Harmony--inexpensive, effective, as comfortable as a Graco (according to my 5-year old), and available in a variety of colors and designs. I have the Graco TurboBooster in my other cars, but bottom is just too wide for my C4S. The Harmony's handles are a bit obtrusive, but I haven't performed any surgical modifications. Besides, my son stopped complaining about them being in the way after a few days!
Lol, are you kidding? I think the post I linked to has gone over practically all seats available in one post or another.
recaro vivo!
I just had the similar problem. I purchased a recaro vivo from target online ... cost me $99. It's really nice - it has a very sturdy headrest which will protect the child in case of a sideways collision. I had to remove the seat bottom (rips right out - velcro). After that, it fit perfectly! I have a 2000 996 C2. The recaro looks really nice too... black to match the black leather interior. Highly recommend it.

Being looking around with no luck! Thanks for the heads up.
