Wet dog in my trunk

I have a wet dog scent blowing through my vents. I tried to remedy this by running my AC. It worked to a certain extent. What I do not understand is where this annoying scent came from. It has been cold and raining here in Nor Cal, and I have been running my heater. I have run my AC during the last few months due to the warmer weather. Thus, I suspect the heater may be the culprit. Any thoughts or remedies would be greatly appreciated. And, there is not a dead wet dog in my trunk. I checked.

Check your drains by the battery too. Maybe you have some nasty in that area.

Sure enough, one of the drains was plugged with a slimy ball of deteriorated leaves. I removed the old cabin air filter. It was fairly dirty, and of the paper variety. I order a new charcoal type cabin air filter through pelicanparts.com . I should be smelling clean next week.

Good deal. You might have also saved your front boot from flooding.
