Corey - nice to see another Audi owner on here. I really like the look of the A6/S6 Avants but its mainly their resemblence to the RS6 Avant. There are a few of the older 2.7TT S6's in my area but not many of the new V8ers that I know of. I've had alot of problems with my car as well but most of that has been sorted out now, nothing major but it all adds up, my CEL is still always on but weve come to the conclusions its just electrical gremlins.
My 1.8T mods:
-APR 1.0 bar ECU - 93oct/100oct/stock/valet (BEST MOD)
-AWE/Borla down-pipe back exhaust(great sound, made it a whole new beast)
-AWE stageII clutch/flywheel kit(a little tricky at first, now its great)
-AWE drivetrain stabilizer
-turboXs diverter valve
-zimmerman cross-drilled rotors all around

Coming soon: coilovers hopefully

Ducky - I'm only 16...17 in June, so at this point in my life having JUST an Audi is FINE by me!!

I'm an Audi owner too. I have a 2002 3.0 M6. Makes for a great daily driver.

Ducky,

My regrets really on the rice thing. Honestly, the term "rice" to me comes from "rice burner" which I first heard when I lived in Florida when my older brother used to race his Ninja 900 race bike. Now this was back in the mid-1980's and it was associated with bikes from Japan. Over the course of the last several years I've heard the same expression made over cars from Asian countries that have body kits, neon lights, and huge bazooka mufflers hanging out the back. Not my thing. My experience has been in all of my Porsche's dating back since my first SC is that everyone wants to race you. BUT, as I said, initially I thought you were just trying to prove a point but I can see that you truly have a passion for performance cars and I do respect the power and look of a TT Supra. I'm cool with you okay, you don't have to reciprocate.

On the other hand, the 1.8T kid, I also wanted to mention that my wife has a Passat 4Motion 1.8T and I 'm familiar with it (drive like a tank). I also participate in the AudiForum and am very familiar with the engine. Yeah you can modify it and somewhat cheap to do with a fairly good bang for the buck, but don't knock the B6 until you own one -- far superior to the B5. I think as my second car it's great and sporty at that too. But yeah, I have more displacement (and don't need to modify mine to get HP) and yup, another gear and a few mods of its own.

gonz - sorry for being a little ticked in my post, sometimes I catch myself actually acting my age which at 16 is a bad thing. My regrets. No I have never been in a B6 but by pure aesthetics, the B5 lines appeal to me more. Same goes to you as I said to Corey, good to see another Audi drive on the board

Before the B6 came up I was nuts for the B5, so there. My wife got totally ticked at me when I told her that her new Passat drove like a tank. It's was hard getting out from my 996 and then into her car, much like it is in my A4, although it's a heck of a lot more comfortable (superior BOSE system too).

My regrets on offending. I'm really not self-centered and an as$h*le. Peace out.

97 Supra is an incredibly high quality vehicle.... easy to mod and fast as hell on the highway... can do 450WHP no problem.. and that is a lot of power... other things it has going for it is Toyota quality and that beautiful 6 speed automatic .. yes AUTO... faster than the stick... a Toyota creation back in 1995... handling was good but this is where Porsche excels... so far ahead its not even worth comparing the two.

Toyota built a great car and its too bad they got out of sports cars cause back in 1997 when they had the Supra, Porsche only had the 993....

I hope to see some great stuff come out of toyota in the near future... on par with porsche that is given they have an advanced formula 1 program.

If a p-car owner posted that he raced say a Ferrari or Lambo and was excited to see if they were on the board would you bash them? I don't think so. Don't let a select few here discourage you, this board is almost completely full of wonderful guys and girls..........
Werd up! I do agree, he was being nice and you guys fried his ***. We have a Ruff crowd today!

Hey Ducky:

I just got caught up on this thread, and I thought I should congratulate you on being so reserved in response to the pretty flagrant horse**** being spewed by a few of our members here. I don't care what age you are, but you're demonstrating a level of maturity vastly greater than the other guys. Nil Carborundum Illegitium

You-guys-you-know-who-you-are

Where's the 'tude coming from? The guy's first post mentions racing a Porsche, without mentioning who won. He didn't say anything about that until asked, and then without any gloating. A modded Supra will chew up a regular Carrera in a highway race any day of the week, so why call bull**** on it? Then we descend into a tirade on rice, against a guy with engine mods and no silly wing. Seriously, you can pick a better target than that.

Ducky came on here to be friendly, and play nice with the other kids, and you jump on him like he ****ed your sister.

There's been too much of that on this board lately. It started last year in OT, with all the political stuff, and it hasn't gone away.

I'm all smiles. I'm cool with you as well. I initially found this site while snooping around for a new color for my supra. I can't belive the term "rice" dates back into the 80's! wow.

PMac - Why don't you read the posts and you'll see my regrets. READ IDIOT. I suppose some might find your use of Latin somewhat coy or even clever, you're neither. Here's some Spanish for you though -- Comer Mierda.

Err, I wan't actually taking aim at you. Where did I mention you by name? You were kinda snotty to begin with, but I read the part where you said sorry. You're calling me an idiot for not reading something you wrote (which I did), and now you look a bit silly.

As for the Latin thing, how you can estimate my intelligence from that, I'm not quite sure, but putting foreign languages into posts doesn't exactly take a genius (as you so ably demonstrate). There's a whole big internet out there full of clever stuff someone else came up with. All I have to do is copy and paste.

Seriously, though, if you want to pick a fight, there's very little chance that you're going to say much of anything that either a) hurts my feelings or b) won't generate a wittier response from me, if I take 3 seconds to think one up. I mean, it's the internet. Sniping at anonymous strangers isn't all that hard, even if it is fun at times.
