I feel guilty now. It's my fault that you got into arguements with Gonz.

I just wrote a whole bunch of mean (but quite funny, I thought at the time) stuff aimed at you, then I wrote the next paragraph, and had a change of heart, so I deleted it.

OK, here's an olive branch. We clearly had a misunderstanding over this whole business. My first post was pretty scathing, on account of how people were treating Ducky. I deliberately didn't name names, because I wasn't looking to get in a flame war. I genuinely wasn't mad at you. Then you got huffy, and I got huffy, so it's my turn to man up and apologize for my style. It's my nature to respond somewhat mockingly when I'm being attacked, but that doesn't make it right, so I'm sorry.

Let's start over...

Hi, I'm Paul, and it's been 3 minutes since my last outburst.

No, don't sweat it. You could leave me in an empty room, and I'd find a way to get myself into trouble.

Ducky,

There are many here who have loved the idea of a porsche for their whole life and only later on got one. They don't drive like other vehicles and that is the allure that makes many of us return time and time again to get another one. For the price until you hit the turbo models there are many vehicles out there that are faster, but I can guarantee you non as much fun. I miss my 220hp boxster for that exact reason. I've had vette owners, who are friends and neighbors, bust my chops about the boxster when I had it until they drove it. Then they had what we call "permagrin" and realize it's a different experience. The term feels like a nice worn pair of leather gloves that fit perfectly comes to mind. I've converted more than a few people from HP nuts to what I call the total package or experience.

So being a car guy, I can guarantee you will own a porsche and to be honest, not one with the highest HP around(Carrera 2's can be much more fun than turbos), because after you drive the right one, you see that it's not important, but everything else about the ride is.

You may also ask if I miss the 930(911 turbo), sometimes but not as much as the boxster and I owned the turbo for 14 years till about a year after I got the boxster when my wife told me to get rid of one car.

Cheers and welcome to 6speedonline,
Corey

My bets are on a turbo porsche for sure as of now. I guess it's because of my facination with turbos still. When the time comes around, I'll have studied every aspect of different model porsches and purchace the right one for me. I've researched supras for over 2 years before I made my purchace.

I gotta stay off this forum! I keep on gettin porsche envy!!! haha, just playin.
