Cousin tried to 'drift' his fathers 996...
...and as always, it ends BAD 
His father sells car as a business and he always have a fleet of old cars (Corvete's, Bently's, 911's) parked near the house. For some reason he decided to take his father's favorite 996 for a joy ride..
Drove for a good 15 minutes, neared an intersection at 160 km/h (100 miles/h) and attempted to 'drift', lost control, braked, then hit and climbed a pavement head-on..
He left the car and ran away at first.. then came back and picked the broken parts and drove home. Good thing no one was around and he didn't hit anyone.
His father will come back after 2 days from a trip.. and when it comes to cars, he will not be easy with him.
He has no license too!
Apparently the car has a lower (Aerokit?) part that fell off.

Notice the head covers went up..
Anyone know the approx fix $$$?

Hmmm...
1. It is Extremely unlikely that THAT damage occurred at the end of a 100 mph loss of control.
2. Hit and climbed the pavement after a 100 mph loss and failed to do significant suspension and undercarraige damage and was able to drive it home without issue or any glaring shift of the front suspension? Fascinating!
This is an amazing story!
Was Tom Cruise waiting for him at home with Rebecca De Mornay?

But hey that's just my 2 cents.
I witnessed a teenager doing something similar 10 years back, except that he crushed a man waiting to cross the street with his 2 little girls... the dad pushed the girls out of the way but he died right in front of them... his last words, "I can't breathe !!!
Something inside me snapped... I have never beaten on someone like that, that teenager and myself were lucky the cops showed up when they did...
I got charged with aggravated assault and for the teenagers (21)... hospital, jail (bait) and sh#t jobs for the rest of his life!
As to the kid with the Porsche...I think the dad has been waaaaaaay to soft with him!
One day the dad is going to kick himself that he didn't gave his son a hard lesson in accountability.
