Very interesting indeed. But really, I wonder how many Porsche drivers have been pulled over for speeding when they really were NOT speeding? (Maybe it happens because of "car profiling"?)

However, if the guy in the blog story were driving a Porsche, and he stayed well within all the posted limits on his drive home, I'd also wonder whether he really should be driving a different car (i.e. it's really hard to drive my Porsche under the limit all the time) .

Kickbacks from tow companies?

I wonder if the cop was getting kickbacks from the towing companies. Not that it matters - he's either corrupt on account of being greedy or on account of just being a tool.

Glad the charge was at least thrown out, but what a pain!

Happened to me. I had cruise control set on 70mph, past a cop and he pulled me over saying he clocked me at 83mph. After a few minutes of agrueing he said he would give me a break 5mph and no points on the license. What a scam! So i ended up paying a $125 ticket because I have a Porsche. Thanks Taylor, Michigan!
