Best Mod i've done so far..really amazing sound!

So i ordered the Fister-D exhaust Mod from Darin Fister last week, the service was amazing, i had tracking immediatley & the exhaust was here within 2 days.

UPS tried to deliver it yesterday but i missed them, so i called & went down to the UPS facility & picked it up, today i woke up on a MISSION- Find nearest midas, or whatever shop can install...Was hard to find a place in Scottsdale, but finally i found a place a bit pricey $95 hour labour, but i was determined to get it on today. Took them 2 hours because my clamps on my old exhaust were rusted so the old one took a while to get off, but FISTER slipped right in.

The guy started the car and WOW! the best part it is NOT TOO LOUD & ANNOYING! Its a Classy grownup growl..u hit the gas and u hear it, it purrs..not like a mustang & not like a honda, LIKE A PORSCHE SHOULD!

Only problem is now i'm always driving at high rpms to keep hearing that beautiful purr..lol..

Thanks so much Darin. Guys FISTER D has to be one of your FIRST MODS, the guys at the shop didn't believe the price, it cost me almost the exact same to install (because of my own rusted clamps on my old exhaust) as it did to buy! again THANKS Darin for making this affordable mod available to us!

I was thinking about doing this mod. Did you do the exchange option? If so, how did the shipping work?

Shipping is very simple, after you get the new exhaust on you ship him yours, in the same box he sent you his in..very cheap, less than $30

I ordered mine yesterday. Hopefully Darin can get one made up quick because I'm giddy as a schoolgirl to get it! I'll make sure to post a video when it's all done.

 

so how much was it?

 

It's $250 for my car. I'm sure Midas or Merlin's Muffler may be cheaper, but I'm willing to pay for someone with experience.

I just talked to Darin at FD Motorsports and he said my exhaust will be done in a day or two. I'm like a kid at Xmas waiting!

Has anyone with these passed smog in California?

 

They should have no impact on smog inspection. They only add sound.

 

It was time for a mod, so I placed an order on Monday. Will post video of before and after once installed.

 

how much did you pay for the actual exhaust?

 

It's $250 for the exhaust (at least my C2). Darin at Fister will prepare your exhaust (took about a week for mine) and when it's done, ships it to you (like $50 to ship it to me from California to Illinois). You install the exhaust and when done, you ship your old mufflers back to Darin in the boxes.
