When do you guys think it's a good idea to take off the winter tires

When do you guys think it's a good idea to take off the winter tires

We've been averaging 60' during the day now, is it too soon? and am I going to ruin the winter tires. I may not be able to get them changed until next week, but have to drive about 500 miles before then.

I took mine off last weekend. I don't think you're adding a lot more miles to your snow tires, but why wait? It is really easy to do the swap yourself--all you need is a good jack and a torque wrench.

Actually I don't have a spare set of rims so I need to have the tire place do it.

Take them off....

My 996 just came out of hibernation this week, I am still cautious driving around because all the potholes haven't been addressed.

Just did it today. And took out the nice car out of hibernation too.
Glad to see some NE guys having the same issues (damn potholes ...).
