I have the opportunity to buy these tires/wheels at a good price, but I'm not sure they will fit my narrow body 2000 C2 cab. Does anyone know it they will fit? It's been suggested that they're for wide bodies, but no one has offered a definitive answer yet.

The seller was kind enough to send me a TSB about the tires. According to the document, you need to modify the fender lip on 996's up to MY2001 to handle the 11J x 18 wheels. So if anyone else can use them, they're a great deal at $700 (with Pirelli Winter tires). Local pickup only (Westchester, NY)

I have GT3 18x11 rears with a 295/30/18 tire with no issues on the stock suspension. No fender modification either. You should be good to go. Enjoy...

Thanks for the replies. The seller is allowing me to try them on for size, so I'm going give that a go. The TSB indicated that fender modification "might" be necessary on earlier models, but was not definitive.

Careful on the 11" in back. My mechanic told me mine are fine as long as the suspension has a load on it, but if I were to go airborne (like over a set of railroad tracks for example) the wheels would rub against the sway bars.
I have no intention of doing it. But it is good to know! :-)

Forgot to mention....this is prior to installing PSS9 setup and lowering the car. That's happening next Monday so I don't know how much that will change the clearance/geometry...if at all.

This makes no sense.. when the car is on a liftfor installation there is no load on the wheels... if this is true... How would you even put them on? This also all depends on the offset.
If you can get the wheels on.. you will be fine.
