weird start up problem, help pls!

I have a 2003 Carrera coupe with 27000miles. Every day first start up or warm start up (engine totally warm up turn off then start up around an hour), it will take around 10 sec to start up the engine. But when the engine start up it will just drive strong without problem and no engine light too. After the long crank to start up the engine then turn it off right the way, then it will start up in 3-4sec like normal.

I have changed new spark plugs, new coils, speed sensor, and air filter. But still no help.... So hope someone can help me here please.

Thanks

I don't know about 996's specifically but that sounds like a possible fuel pump issue. The check valve may be allowing pressure to bleed off when the car sits so it takes longer than it should to build back up. If you can put a fuel pressure gauge on it. If not, try putting the key in the run position for 10 seconds then try to start it. I'm not sure how loud the 996's fuel pump is but you should be able to hear it. If it starts up much easier then it is probably related to your fuel pump. If not, that's something ruled out.

to check if it is actually fuel pressure bleeding off, try to turn the ignition (not all the way to start the car but till you her the fuel pump working, do this 3-5 times to build fuel pressure, if it starts then it confirms it...if not you have to look else where...

If the fuel pump only stays on for a couple seconds then I agree with below.

Just wondering how long the fuel pump sound should stay? I only hear mine with just 2 sec after turn the key at on position then will be quiet.

I can't get specific on 996's but that is pretty standard.

jeneric996 is infamous around these parts
Maybe the idle control valve(?)
You didn't mention a check engine light so your vacuum lines should be good.

Will it be purge valve, gas filter, MAP sensor ?.....

I have custom wire to give fuel to engine, the car start right the way in any condition now..... so I m sure is because of the fuel delivery problem now...... probably is the fuel pump module.

Good to see you're narrowing it down. As a possible cheap solution try some Techron or other fuel SYSTEM cleaner.

Are you having any driveability problems? It sounds like it is just the hard cold start now. If that's the case I would try the cleaner for at least two tank before throwing serious money at it unless the driveability starts to go down.

Thanks..... I don't have any drivability problem and it actually drive strong too.... There is something block the fuel to the engine before start.
