LED Headlight Installed

Ok so yes I did have some complications but mainly my fault. Overall the quality of the lights are about 7 out of 10 but where they lack in quality they make up 100000% in appearance. Now I understand that these lights are not everyone’s opinion of what should be on a Porsche but for me they look fantastic. It really gives the car a decade’s facelift and does not look cheesy or cheap at all!! I also installed the HID's with Omar's help of course (dude your awesome) and I can say I fell in love with the car all over again.

Sorry the pics aren’t too nice as I did not want to take it out of the garage today (rain/snow mix) but I will try to post some better ones tomorrow.

^ i ordered the same type of lights for my lexus back in the day. One by one all the LEDs started to flicker and burn out in a matter of months. Its a real shame because otherwise I think they look great.

Unfortunately, I had the same problem. After 3 replacements (one or more LEDs failed every 2-3 weeks!) I returned the lights and went back to my OEM Litronic lights. I hope they are more reliable for the new buyers. Keep us posted.

Help choosing correct bulbs and HID kit

I bought these LED headlights from eBay but they did not include the main bulbs-seller tells me I need 2 H1 and 1 H7-can anyone guide be which falls going which positions. I was hoping to do a 6000K HID upgrade for the main headlamp and foglamp and leave the bright to be a bright white xenon bulb. I think the H7 would be the foglamp? Any recommendations for which kit to get and intallation hints would be most appreciated. I was thinking of the DDM Tuning HID kit as it comes with a lifetime warranty. The car is at the body shop getting a new front/rear bumper and side skirts-hoping to install LED headlights and tail lights this weekend. Interior upgrade with Arctic Silver trim pieces and Pioneer double din headunit scheduled for next week. Any advice and guidance would be most appreciated.

Hi Omar,

I tried sending you a pm but couldn't since I need to have 15 posts before I can start sending pm's. I am on post #13 right now! Yay! You can pm me since i can receive pm but not send.

I read your thread on the led headlights. Thanks for all the info. I wish I had read it before I bought the lights. I just got the headlights today. I also ordered the h1, h1, h7 hid kits for the fog, low and high beams. They are not plug and play as I figured they would be. It seems like I need to do some modifications to make the hid kits work. I was hoping you can help me with that since you are the expert on these lights. Can you let me know what I need to do?

Thanks in advance.

They are extremely poor quality lights! It is what it is...

The local Porsche dealership that still services my car sourced and installed that. If you want specifics, I can ask the mechanic and let you know.
