Been a while since I posted an update. I simply don't get to drive this car as much as I'd like to. It feels like I'm wasting a perfectly good sports car.

The car loves to cruise along at a heady speed as it stretches out though. Found this out when I took a 5 hour sprint up a very straight, minimally patrolled highway. I got enough bug bukake on it that it started to look like swamp thing's *****, but it was a fun way to make a family trip.

Following this, a close friend wanted a support vehicle for a purchase he'd made. It was a bit of a trek over three days, but I can't really recall the last time I'd been on a road as continuously thrilling as the AK dragon tail. The views and the road itself takes your breath away. Most tracks I've driven could use some more of what those AK roads have in them with the elevation changes. On a somewhat related note, I'm doing a trip to the Ring for later this year so if anybody can skool me on how to best do that, I'd be grateful.

My buddy didn't end up getting the MG that he'd purchased because the seller withdrew after we got there (sad story really) but he got his deposit back since the car was no longer running for him and we headed back the same way we went there. I learned a thing or two about how to make it rain in Little Rock strip clubs, got a very rude awakening during a late night plunge through some sort of wilderness park and then proceeded to hog all the best roads as we returned home. Even months later, I'm finding it to be a surprisingly memorable trip where the car featured prominently in the plot.

Before taking either trip, I had installed a set of LED taillights which do make the car a look a little sharper from the back I think. I also installed a Kenwood 8120 head unit in there and the bluetooth works nice with the mic clipped to the drivers side visor. Anybody have success putting the mic in the little bezel around the gauges? It looks like that's what that little circle is for, maybe.

The navi on the head unit as well as the controls are almost as dated as tribal tattoos, but it sounds decent hooked up to my alpine amp and I love the ability to throw a 32gb usb stick on there with all my music. Music videos only play through discs though and the screen resolution isn't retina-quality anyway, so I still have to cry myself to sleep each night clutching a plush animal. Life is so tough.
