suggestions for exterior uprades?

I'm looking to start with some upgrades on my exterior. I have a C2 cab all stock from the outside. I would love to give the car a bit of a more aggressive look, without breaking the bank. Thoughts? There is a gt2 front bumper for sale on ebay for cheap, but if I add that, do I need to add side skirts and a rear bumper for consitency?

I've had the car for about 18 months and so far did the following:

- Added a pioneer double din navi, dvd with blutetooth and a rear view camera

- refinished the steering wheel, adding a racing stripe at 12 and made the padding thicker, refinished the stick shift and the parking brake (will post pics soon)

- refinished the rims (though one has bent again -- nyc driving is a disaster)

- raised the suspension (prior owner lowered it).

- tried to fix a leaking problem in the rear caused by the drain pipes -- it is a reoccuring issue.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Also - should I play with the lights (I see some folks painting them and/or adding the eyelids)?

Nice! What should all those add on run me cost wise? Also, how would it look if I just added the side skirts and wing?

Check with Precision Porsche...they have great replica parts and competitive pricing. Adding the side skirts and wing would not look right without the front bumper. If anything, I'd add the front bumper first, then side skirts, then wing and finally the GT Trim.

new member

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and hope to be active. I recently purchased a '01 Carrera coupe, black/black with aero side and front, gembella exhaust and K&N CAI is on it's way. I expect to swap out for 997T wheels when it's time for new tires in the Spring. Also ordered Hella clear side markers as the "orange" doesn't seem to fit the black motif.

The amber side markets were the first things to go. I had to raise the suspension bc I'm driving in Brooklyn and the bumps were killing me. I already had to fist Rims for all the dents. And dented one again!

I hear you Brooklyn, I live in Chicago area and got the same issues! Two other items still thinking about... I ordered a set of the LED daytime driving lights but still not sure about how that will look and am planning on putting on a set of 997 Turbo whhels with new summer tires whent he snow melts. Anyone have any opinions on these last two?

I also have and like the front and side body additions like Fly996. For me not a fan of the rear GT bumps. I think Duraflex has both the front and side items. It was one of the reasons I bought this one versus a nice C4 that I would have to add them to. Been going back & forth on the idea of the Double DIN Navi although I like the aftermarket head unit in there now.
