If you can get a Quaife diff that fits, that would be the absolute best. Not really LSD - it is gear driven. Guaranteed for 25 years even if used for racing. I put one in my G35 TT sedan and couldn't be happier.
back in the days , with my FWD cars, Quaife was the best, and still is...but as I went through variety of vehicle manufacturers, each had its own prized possession performance parts. What brand in LSD dept. does porsche value the most?
ok.. im a bit puzzled by this thread. I own a 1999 C2 and lay down 2 nice healthy black stripes whenever i feel like it.
I could nly do this with a LSD..... open diff would nt allow this and i know that i havent dropped any cash to replace it.
Can anyone elaborate on this????

Yes sir... I have the traction button. What a great thing..... i know the newer traction sytems are better but i've been in the car with my wife behind the wheel and it has saved us more than once rounding a slippery corner.
it's fun....but it can be dangerous if you USE your PSM a lot.
I mean, do you get it to come on a lot? If so, turning it off could get yourself in some trouble as you don't really know how far you can push the car before it "goes".
I turn mine off for autocross and trackdays....but leave it on for street driving.

Randy Pobst once said if you find the stability control is slowing you down, then turn it off; otherwise keep it on. Sound advice from a great racecar driver, especially if you don't want to back into a guard rail.
Its one of those things that you should be aware of how it will cause your car to perform. You and the car mst be on the same page at all times! I remember on one occasion i needed to get into traffic from a dead stop and there was no break in sight, so i needed to jam on the gas as hard as i could! Forgetting about how much the car boggs down when interrupted, i nearly had the *** end of my car taken on by a truck. It shuts the car down for a mere second and feels slow to get the power on again when you really need it. Lesson learned. Always turn it off if you realy need the power.
