newb newb

hi everyone, another newb is joining this forum. i just bought a 1999 C4 with 85000km(52000miles) which came with factory aero kit.

this is my first porsche so i'm excited that my dream finally came true, at the same time very fearful of some of the major issues discussed in the forum.

this will be my daily driver so i will be driving in all weather condition that this great canadian city brings.

Excellent choice! All wheel drive for Canadian snow conditions - you only need to pay very close attention to ground clearance! A decent set of snow tires on a second set of rims is also a wise choice.

Nice, very nice. Get yourself an engine protection plate for $125, in case you hit something hiding under the snow.

Do they just bolt on or do you have to drill and tap somewhere?

thanks everyone and suggestion about the engine plate.

i love the look of the classic porsche roofline so i'm thinking of swapping the deck(taco wing) for a traditional deck. i've done some search here but would appreciate any feedback if anyone has experience with it.

Rather than swap, I think you might be able to find an OEM deck for a good price from someone who's added a wing. Maybe even in the right color. That way you can always reverse your decision if you change your mind.

It bolts in place. It is a porsche piece.

Awesome. Congrats on the purchase. Enjoy that "first Porsche" feeling. I hope to share it someday!
