Automatic Door Re-Locking
Automatic Door Re-Locking
Is there a way to change the automatic door re-locking time without a trip to the dealer? The current time is about 2 seconds and doesn't give me enough time to get things in/out of the frunk.
I searched, but couldn't find anything using several search combinations.
Thanks.

Sorry not without a Porsche computer, i.e. PST2, PIWIS, etc.
From your owners manual:
"Automatic relocking
If the car is unlocked by remote control and
none of the car doors is opened within approx.
60 seconds, automatic relocking takes place.
This relocking time can be adapted to your individual
requirements (4 - 120 seconds) by an
authorized Porsche dealer."
"Automatic door locking
Your authorized Porsche dealer can program
diverse types of automatic door locking in the
control unit of the central locking system:
Type 1
Doors lock automatically when the ignition is
switched on.
Type 2
Doors lock automatically when a speed of 3 - 6
mph (5 - 10 km/h) is exceeded.
Type 3
Doors lock automatically when the ignition is
switched on. If doors are opened with the engine
running, they lock again automatically when
a speed of 3 - 6 mph (5 - 10 km/h) is exceeded.
Type 4
The doors do not lock automatically.
Note
Automatically locked doors can be unlocked with
the central locking button or opened by pulling
on the inside door handle twice."

Logray,
Thanks. I had read the owner's manual.
With other cars I've owned there is sometimes a secret series of steps one can perform to access and change information in the car. Just seeing if that is the case here, before I spend $ at the dealer.

Thanks all. I see a trip to the dealer in the near future.
It's not a big deal, but twice a day I insert/remove my laptop bag from the frunk (to/from the office). 99% of the time I don't have enough time after popping the frunk to get my bag in, close the lid, and get to the driver's door before it re-locks itself.
I know. Not the biggest problem in the world, but its annoying to have to unlock the car twice.
