Thanks! It ended up being more work than I thought as I decided to take the bumper off to find the best location to mount them and figured I'd clean the radiators while I was at it. I was careful to route the wires away from the top of the radiators and through the rubber grommet where the headlight wires go. I could've done it all without removing the bumper though, as the wires pass up between the space behind the bumper when you remove the lights., but I wanted a clean install.

Well I ended up going with the Philips 8 bulb. It took much longer than I thought. Removed the bumper and that was the easy part. The brackets that came with the lights were difficult to mount due to the angle and space of the bumper. The lights dim when the headlights come on. They seem to work really well.

Looks good man., I'm very happy with the Philips 8...It was a bit of a pain to install, but I feel confident that the lights are locked into the bracket well- potentially forever! Man that's a thighs fit... Feels very oem quality.

I connected mine to switched + ignition terminal, otherwise when you have the car on the battery tender the lights randomly come on due to the auto power on function.

Which wire did you tap into? Was it in in the frunk?

Do the 5-led lights dim when the headlights are on, or is it just the 8-led lights that do that? And, is that a necessary feature?

Yes they do dim, not necessary, but nice to have.
