Will a Britax Marathon 65 car seat fit in the back of a 996?
SubscribeHi guys I'm in need of a bit of car seat help, I need to find out which car seat will fit the back of a 996.
Does anyone have experience with the Britax Marathon 65? It's got great reviews and is on sale at the moment.
Thanks
Shalil

We have the 65, I think. My youngest son is only 1 month but I want to give it a test fit so I will report back with the results. For my 4 year old I'm using the combi seat and it seems to fit nicely.
I came across this:

The last post in the thread mentions that it fits perfectly with the base removed from the car seat...
Memento, my little on is also only 6 weeks old but I can pick up the seat on sale at the moment, I'll likely pick it up today, but I have to get my GT3 seats out of the car before any of this can be test fitted...
The other concern is how far will the passenger seat have to move up? I'm 6'1" so no way it's going behind me and my wife is 5'6" so I hope she will be comfy with the little one behind her once he gets taller...

I didnt Remove the Bottom cushion and was able to get it in tight and level.
my wife is 5'1" and fits fine with the kiddo in the back.
It gets a little tight when my 6' cousin is in the seat with the kiddo in the back but its still doable.
on another note I thought.. perhaps erroneously that the marathon 65 was discontinued and the 70 was its replacement.
scarab, that is the case in the US, but up here in Canada the safety standards are more stringent so things take longer to get to the consumer, so we have not seen the 70 up here yet, but possibly soon, that may be the reason they have a sale on the 65's, either way they are both great and safe seats and I don't think that there have been many changes to the 70, and this is a seat that is confirmed to fit in the car so it works for me.
